Last weekend the Baldwin Center for Preservation Development hosted a Star Party at Bundoran Farm. We were blessed with clear skies and a brilliant display of celestial objects. Over 50 people bundled up and carefully navigated around eight big telescopes in the dark pasture to learn about the beauty and mystery of the night sky. Several young people turned out as well, including a group of boy scouts and girl scouts, for a peak of the night’s astronomical wonders. We would like to extend a special thanks to the Charlottesville Astronomical Society for sharing their impressive telescopes with us and for inspiring us with their knowledge of the universe. We hope they will join us for another Star Party next year, perhaps in the spring. For more information about the Charlottesville Astronomical Society (CAS) and other local astronomical events, please visit the CAS web site at http://www.cvilleastro.org/.

Alright!! Sounds like Bundoran Farm is quite a popular venue for the stars.
