Hiking, riding, cycling and birding all have their devotees. Until now, boating has not been a serious part of active recreation at Bundoran Farm. The farm’s two youngest residents, Owen and Avery Hamilton, founding members of the Bundoran Canoe Club, aim to bring Bundoran’s pleasure-boating opportunities to public attention.
After the dry run shown here, the boys tackled the highly-technical waters of Lake Inferior, where future excursions may take the team more than ten feet from shore. Such future expeditions will require reducing paddle-dropping to a minimum, and the team is addressing this issue in training.

Great article! You wouldn’t think kids would get bored in a canoe, but they do! Smaller collapsible paddles are available for the kids, and they are hollow plastic and they float!
