At Bundoran Farm, design is a collaborative effort enlisting the talents, skills and experiences of a number of individuals. The end result is the design of a house and related site improvements that not only met a families programmatic and design goals, but works with the existing landscape, respects the design and settlement patterns of the region and adds sustained incremental value to the place. Most recently, members of the Bundoran Farm Design Committee and Leif Riddervold, Bundoran Farm’s Natural Resources Manager, met with Bill and Dorothy Tompkins, Bob Gray and Dick Shank of Shank and Gray Architects (www.shankgray.com) and Dale Abrahamse of Abrahamse & Company, Builders (www.abrahamse.com) on the Tompkins homesite to evaluate the design progress to date and to discuss additional design opportunities and solutions.
