While I was home in Vermont for several days the guys got most of the deck and porch done–in unseasonably hot muggy weather and so much pollen the green roof actually turned yellow….yuk…
Today we put the purlins on the porch roof and then spent the rest of the day framing the cupola. We were delightfully interrupted by the topping off press event–who came out to interview and film us and all those connected with the Baldwin Center–including Bob Baldwin Jr., Charles Adams, Joe Barnes, David Hamilton the Bundoran Farm staff and a number of landowners who blessed us with their company and enthusiasm. It was special time and we all felt a bit humbled to be a part of something much greater and deeper than we could possibly acquire on our own.
Two of the local television stations were on hand to cover this event WCAV – Channel 19 the local CBS, ABC and Fox affiliate and WVIR – Channel 29 the local NBC affiliate.
Tomorrow we are ready to set the rafters, purlins and roofing on the cupola and will finish the porch as well. While it was wonderful to be home with my beloved wife whom I miss while here–I am glad to be back working toward the timely completion of this magnificent project.

Looking good! How did it come out? I am just starting to build my cupola. I started it on the ground and going to put it on the roof when I am done. LOoks good, keep it up!
