Bundoran Farm Partner to Assist with Restoration of Historic Jefferson Pools

The historic Jefferson Pools where Thomas Jefferson, Robert E. Lee and ten of thousands of others soaked away their aches and pains will soon be restored.  The Homestead resort, the owner of the pools located in Warms Springs, VA plans to carefully restore the historic structures that are virtually unchanged from when they were originally built centuries ago.  The men’s bathhouse, built in 1761, is considered the oldest spa structure in the United States.

Celebration Associates, one of the development partners in Bundoran Farm, has been brought on to assist in the renovation of these historic structures.  Currently, Celebration Associates is in the research stage and will be working with a team of architects and other specialist to study how best to begin the renovations.

While the scale and use of the Jefferson Pools is vastly different than what is happening at Bundoran Farm, the same care taken in studying and understanding the legacy landscape of Bundoran Farm will be evident in the restoration of these significant heritage buildings.
