Thursday, January 31st marked the official launch of the Bundoran Farm Guild program. The Bundoran Farm Guild is a select group of accomplished builders, architects, landscape architects, designers and artisans that deliver a high quality of service, design and craftsmanship, along with a commitment to green building techniques and materials. These professionals will be able to assist property owners in the design and construction of their house and homesite in a manner consistent with Bundoran Farm’s overall Preservation Development goals.
The meeting commenced with introductions and updates on various aspects of the project before rolling into the feature presentation, a talk by Rob Robinson, Chairman of Urban Design Associates and primary author of the Bundoran Farm Pattern Book, on the history of rural settlement patterns and environmentally responsive architecture in this region. It was an enlightening and inspiring show. If you missed it, don’t worry. We recorded the program and will add it to the Bundoran Farm web site in the near future.
