This is David Hamilton, Project Manager. I live on the farm with my family. For simple things (loaf of bread, late-night snack) we go to either the Batesville Store (2 mi.) or Crossroads (<1 mi.). Also at Crossroads is an excellent pizza joint, bank, doctors, etc.), and Batesville has excellent lunch. For regular grocery shopping, we go to Barracks Road, which is less than 15 minutes from the farm. For a nice dinner and movie out, we often go to downtown Charlottesville (again, 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic), though Crozet is closer (3 good restaurants).
