“One family’s 60-year effort to save special wilderness”

This was the headline in the September 11, 2008 issue of The Recorder, which is the local newspaper serving Bath and Highland counties in western Virginia.  The story can be read online at:  http://www.therecorderonline.com/news/2008/0911/news/002.html.  This is a great acticle highlighting the efforts by the Goodall family to preserve their legacy property known as Rifle Ridge Farm in the high country of Highland County.  Here at Bundoran we have a special relationship with Ches Goodall, as he is our consultant sustainable forester.  Ches Goodall has developed his much deserved reputation for sustainable forestry through demonstrating his expertise at several landmark Virginia properties such as James Madison’s Montpelior, and Castle Hill.  We are proud of his accomplishments throughout our region, and are thrilled to see that his families dream of finally preserving their farm has been accomplished.  Congratulations Ches!
